Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support construction projects across multiple locations in the U.S. The role focuses on developing and maintaining moderately to highly complex schedule and cost baselines, collecting and analyzing data, and delivering integrated forecasting and financial control insights.

Responsibilities include earned value management, risk analysis, and reporting to stakeholders, with mentorship to junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 5 years of related experience or equivalent in lieu of degree.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required; travel frequency depends on duties.
• Experience withEarned Value Management (EVM) and project controls processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain schedule and cost baselines for moderate to high complexity projects.
• Collect and analyze monthly schedule and cost data; identify variances and perform root-cause analysis.
• Ensure risk reserves are integrated into forecasts and communicate through standard reports.
• Support implementation of financial controls, procedures, systems and forecasting techniques.
• Mentor junior staff and guide project team members in cost/schedule management.
