Job summary

Primoris Services Corp. seeks a Lead Project Controls Analyst to develop, implement, and maintain project controls systems for energy services projects from Independence, MO.

You will oversee schedules, cost control, and progress reporting to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with quality standards. Qualifications include a 8+ year track record in project controls, strong Primavera P6 and MS Project skills, and excellent analytical and communication abilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in project controls, with at least 3 years in a lead or supervisory role, preferably within energy/oil & gas or heavy industrial construction sectors.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project scheduling software.
  • Strong understanding of cost control principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and earned value management.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate meaningful reports.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of project schedules using critical path methods and scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6).
  • Develop and implement comprehensive cost control systems, including budgeting, forecasting, expenditure tracking, and variance analysis.
  • Prepare and present detailed project reports covering progress, cost performance, schedule adherence, and risk assessments to stakeholders and management.
  • Analyze project data to identify trends, problems, and improvement areas, offering proactive recommendations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and teams to ensure timely input for project controls activities.
  • Develop and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS).
  • Perform earned value management (EVM) analysis and provide insights on project performance.
  • Support change management by evaluating impacts on scope, schedule, and cost.
  • Mentor junior project controls personnel.

Job Overview: Job Summary

The Lead Project Controls Analyst will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining project controls systems, including cost control, scheduling, and progress reporting for Primoris Energy Services projects in Independence, Missouri. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Job Responsibilities

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • PMP, AACE, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is desirable.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
