Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support U.S. construction projects with the aim of developing complex schedule and cost baselines.

You will collect and analyze monthly data, identify variances, and help in root cause analysis while ensuring risk reserves are integrated into forecasts. The role requires leading financial controls, collaborating with management, and applying Earned Value Management across projects of varying complexity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered.
• Domestic/international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develops time-phased project cost and resource forecasts and validates costs.
• Manages schedules, analyzes variances and reports performance using earned value.
• Assists in financial controls, forecasting techniques and risk analyses.
• Provides guidance to project teams and mentors junior staff.
