Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support construction projects across the U.S. You will develop and maintain complex schedule and cost baselines, collect and analyze monthly data, and ensure accurate forecasts and risk reserves are integrated into financial plans.

You will collaborate with project teams and management, prepare earned value reports, perform variance analyses, and help implement financial controls and forecasting techniques while adhering to safety

Qualifications

Knowledge of project management including budget, planning, control and finance concepts.
Understanding of project goals, drivers, risks and opportunities in project finance and administration.
Ability to plan and manage execution using drawings and specifications; develop WBS and schedules.
Expert level use of Primavera P6 and experience with project performance tools.

Responsibilities

Develop time-phased project cost and resource forecasts; validate costs and update forecasts.
Monitor progress and productivity; conduct earned value management reporting.
Perform financial analyses including variance, risk, and profit/loss analyses.
Provide guidance to junior staff and mentor them for growth.
Ensure compliance with federal/government procedures and document management.
