Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support construction projects across the U.S. You will develop and maintain integrated schedules and cost baselines, collect monthly data, and provide variance analysis to project teams.

You will produce earned value reports, support risk and forecasting, and ensure financial controls are aligned with client requirements. The role collaborates with managers across locations and may require travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of related experience.
• Experience with Earned Value Management and complex cost/schedule baselines.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 and EcoSys in project controls.
• Travel flexibility to domestic and international locations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated time‑phased schedules and cost baselines.
• Collect monthly schedule data and perform variance analysis.
• Monitor project progress, resource requirements and costs against forecasts.
• Prepare earned value reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Support risk analysis, forecasting and internal financial controls.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior staff.
• Ensure adherence to internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
