Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support services projects across the U.S. You will develop complex schedule and cost baselines, analyze monthly data, and assist with risk and forecasting.

The role collaborates with project teams and management to maintain control over budgets and schedules. The candidate will contribute to performance reporting, resource planning, and financial analyses while ensuring compliance with procedures and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 5 years of related experience.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required; frequency varies with workload and project demands.

Responsibilities

• Develop and document time-phased project cost and resource forecasts.
• Monitor progress, update schedule dates, physical percent complete, and resource requirements.
• Perform Earned Value Management reporting and financial analyses; communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff; mentor for future growth.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and safety protocols and manage data/documents.
