Job summary

Capstone Copper in Arizona is seeking a Sr. Project Controls Specialist to lead a centralized controls function for a portfolio of capital projects. You will manage cost reporting, forecasting, accruals and cash flow while developing an integrated Master Project Schedule.

You will work with Project Managers to ensure accurate data, proactive decision-making and portfolio optimization, applying advanced Excel, Power BI and SAP experience in a heavy construction/mining environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering or related years of experience.
• 7+ years of experience in accounting, project controls, cost engineering, project planning or related field.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a centralized project controls function for a portfolio of capital projects.
• Oversee cost reporting, forecast consolidation, accrual management and cash flow projections.
• Develop and maintain an integrated Master Project Schedule.
• Provide data to project managers for proactive decision-making and portfolio management.
• Maintain monthly project cost reports and update site capital forecasting sheets.
• Submit monthly department accruals and perform variance analysis.
• Develop Executive Summary Schedule (Level 1) and Project Coordination Schedule (Level 3).
• Identify resource conflicts and critical path impacts across projects.
• Ensure compliance with Capstone Copper values, MSHA safety regulations and mine policies.
