Job summary

AACE International seeks Project Controls Managers to support large heavy civil programs across highways, bridges, transit, aviation, and water projects. You will defend costs and schedules, maintain baselines, and drive forecasting across multiple interfaces.

Role requires extensive EV, CPM scheduling, and leadership of controls staff; strong communication with leadership and contractors is essential. This is a future-hire posting for ongoing needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field is required.
  • 10+ years of project controls experience on large, complex heavy civil programs.
  • Experience integrating cost and schedule data on common WBS/CBS, baseline management, change control.
  • EV methods and critical path schedule analysis experience.
  • Experience reviewing contractor cost/schedule submittals against contract requirements.
  • Experience leading or directing project controls staff on a capital program.
  • Proficient with scheduling and cost controls software (P6, MSP, Unifier, EcoSys, e-Builder) and MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the program’s integrated controls system and baseline change procedures.
  • Review submittals, baselines, updates, progress payments, and contingency drawdowns.
  • Analyze earned value, cost/schedule performance indices, and forecast variances.
  • Evaluate change proposals, delay claims, and provide program leadership recommendations.
  • Oversee forecasts, cash flow, contingency, and reserve positions.
  • Coordinate risk with baselines and assist in contingency decisions.
  • May lead monthly controls cycle and present to leadership.
  • Coordinate controls across adjacent contracts and interfaces.
  • Coordinate across roadway, structures, systems, passenger/rail, and utilities work.
  • Ensure one set of numbers supports program decisions and proper funding reporting.
  • Mentor controls analysts and set expectations for analysis quality.
