Job summary

CDM Smith in the United States is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support services projects nationwide. You will develop complex schedule and cost baselines, analyze monthly data, and ensure risk reserves are integrated into forecasts while communicating through standardized reports.

You will work with project teams to implement financial controls, mentor junior staff, and support diverse, international project portfolios.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 5 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• U.S. Citizenship is required for this position due to federal contract requirements and/or eligibility for a U.S. government security clearance.
• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures compliance with internal procedures such as federal/government regulations.
• Gathers project progress information from project manager and project team members to update and monitor projects of moderate to high complexity.
• Develops time‑phased project cost and resource forecasts; validates project costs; updates requirements as required.
• Monitors progress of project deliverables and actual expenditures versus forecasts.
• Performs performance reporting for a portfolio of projects or programs using Earned Value Management.
• Documents and assesses the impact of project changes on cost/schedule baselines.
• Manages Project Managers portfolios and projects on an international scale.
• Develops, maintains, and analyzes integrated critical path schedules for major projects and/or portfolio of projects.
