Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support services projects across the U.S. You will develop schedule and cost baselines, collect monthly data, analyze variances, and support forecasting and financial controls with Earned Value Management.

You will collaborate with project teams and management, ensure compliance with federal procedures, and mentor junior staff while traveling 20–40% for project work. Domestic and international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of related experience in project controls or program management.
• Experience with government contracts and federal regulations is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of EVMS and cost scheduling concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop time-phased project cost and resource forecasts.
• Maintain risk reserves and integrate into forecasts.
• Prepare earned value and performance reports for management.
• Provide guidance to junior staff and mentoring.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and contract specifications.
