Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support services projects across the U.S. You will develop and maintain schedule and cost baselines, collect monthly data, analyze variances, and assist in root-cause analysis while ensuring risk reserves are integrated into forecasts.

You will collaborate with project teams and management, apply Earned Value Management, and help implement financial controls, procedures, systems, and forecasting techniques.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years related experience.
• Experience with Earned Value Management.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and EcoSys.
• Willingness to travel 20–40%.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains time-phased project cost and resource forecasts; validates project costs and updates requirements.
• Generates and analyzes earned value reports; discusses observations with project manager.
• Performs financial analyses including variance, risk and profit/loss analyses.
• Provides technical guidance and training to junior staff.
