Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants seeks a Principal Project Control Specialist to support Savannah River Nuclear Solutions in Aiken, SC. The role focuses on organizing and leading total project controls, cost and schedule management, and financial analysis across complex programs.

Responsibilities include developing baselines, performing variance analyses, and preparing monthly financial reports while guiding junior staff. On-site schedule is Mon–Fri with potential overtime as project demands require.

Qualifications

• At least 5–7 years of relevant experience (required).
• U.S. Citizenship is required (federal contract).
• Ability to pass a federal background investigation for DOE Q clearance (required).
• Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing (required).
• Strong personal computer skills.
• Expert proficiency in automated accounting, cost management, scheduling and estimating systems.
• Experience with Site Business systems and related financial tools.
• Knowledge of project management and cost/schedule control at tactical level.

Responsibilities

• Organize, develop, implement and maintain total project controls and financial analysis across life cycles.
• Prepare business/financial plans and periodic/ad-hoc reports.
• Develop baselines, WBS, spend plans and resource utilization.
• Guide complex multi-project analyses and provide control leadership.
• Participate in cost reviews and change management for engineering/construction work.
• Analyze variances and communicate mitigation plans to management.
• Prepare monthly financial reports with analyses, forecasts and spend plans.
• Provide training and leadership to project controls personnel.
