Job summary

Merrick & Company seeks a Senior Project Controls Engineer to join the Energy Manufacturing and Bioprocessing (EMB) Business Unit. This role emphasizes both schedule and cost control, EVMS, and the development of robust WBS and cost baselines across diverse projects in multiple US offices.

You will supervise junior staff, prepare executive reports, and coordinate with clients and internal teams to keep projects on track, on budget, and aligned with contract requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 12+ years in Project Controls (Scheduling & Cost).
• Knowledge of EVMS or EVM requirements.
• Experience in Engineering/Procurement/Construction management.
• Proficient with P6, MS Project, Word, Excel, Access.
• Experience with Monte Carlo analysis.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain WBS, dictionaries, and cost baselines.
• Produce schedule and cost performance reports for senior management.
• Supervise junior Project Controls engineers.
• Coordinate with client and internal teams for timely reporting.
• Analyze critical path and schedule impacts from delays.
• Maintain IMS with external activities and progress measurements.
• Assist project accounting with invoicing support.
