Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Project Controls Manager to join our Project Controls team at one of our Maine offices. The role supports planning, budgeting, and cost control across large-scale projects.

You will develop cost breakdown structures, implement effective cost-control procedures, and collaborate with engineering and design teams to optimize project costs. Strong leadership, communication, and PMIS skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, staffing, scheduling, and budget management for large projects.
• Develop cost baselines and WBS with the project team.
• Implement cost control procedures and analyze variances.
• Evaluate cost-saving options with engineering and design teams.
• Measure progress and assess cost performance.
• Align cost and schedule management through integrated controls.
• Communicate status and cost/schedule updates to stakeholders.
• Attend meetings to resolve cost and scheduling issues.
• Provide monthly reports and necessary documents to clients.
• Maintain financial reports for project subtasks with roll-ups.
• Review funding and procurement against budgets.
• Manage change orders and assess cost/schedule impact.
• Assist in development of estimates, budgets, forecasts, and cost trends.
• Support PMIS administration and continuous improvement efforts.
