Job summary

WSP is seeking a Cost Analyst to join the Project Controls team in Charlotte, NC (onsite). You will support cost control, budgeting, and change management, developing forecasts and tracking expenditures.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years in project controls/finance, with Power & Energy industry experience and strong analytical and communication skills. The role offers growth in a growing national firm within a client-focused environment.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Business, Finance, or Accounting (or equivalent) required.
  • 5-7 years’ experience in Project Controls, Financial Controls, Finance, or Accounting including leadership.
  • Power & Energy industry experience required.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager and Cost Control Manager in cost control, budgeting, and change management.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, cash flows, and expenditure tracking.
  • Monitor costs against budgets and flag variances for review.
  • Prepare cost estimates, forecasts, and funding requests.
  • Generate cost reports and dashboards for PMO reviews.
