Amentum is seeking a meticulous Project Controls Specialist to lead scheduling, budgeting, and reporting for DoD R&D programs at NSWC Crane. You will coordinate with project managers and cross-functional teams to keep programs on schedule and within budget.

Requirements include a 4+ year background in project controls, a bachelor’s degree, and active Secret clearance. Proficiency in MS Project, JIRA, and EVMS is expected, with a preference for Primavera P6 and cost forecasting experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 4+ years in project controls or project management.
• 1 year of daily MS Projects usage.
• 1 year experience with JIRA or similar software.
• Experience tracking program metrics, milestones, and deliverables for DoD R&D programs.
• EVMS-aligned tracking tools and reporting proficiency.
• Ability to prepare monthly status review packages and dashboards for Government review.
• Proficiency in scheduling tools like MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor, and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Track progress with KPIs to ensure goals alignment.
• Prepare, analyze, and distribute project reports including variances and forecasts.
• Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to mitigate risks.
• Maintain and update project documentation and databases for decision-making.
• Support change management and assess impacts on scope, schedule, and costs.
• Review contractor/supplier schedules and cost reports for compliance.
• Act as liaison to facilitate communication and project alignment.
