Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Project Controls Specialist to lead scheduling, budgeting, and reporting for DoD R&D programs at NSWC Crane. You will monitor KPIs and collaborate across teams to mitigate risks and keep projects on schedule and within budget.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, 4+ years of project controls experience, and Secret clearance. Proficiency with MS Projects and JIRA is expected, with experience in EVMS and formal reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in project management, engineering, business administration, or equivalent.
• 4+ years of experience in project controls, project management, or similar roles.
• 1 year experience with daily use of MS Projects or similar software.
• 1 year experience with JIRA or similar software.
• Experience tracking program metrics, milestone schedules, and deliverable status for DoD R&D programs.
• Proficiency with EVMS-aligned project tracking tools and reporting.
• Ability to prepare monthly status review packages and performance dashboards for Government review.
• Proficiency in project scheduling and management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar software).
• Strong understanding of project budgeting, cost control, and forecasting principles.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for collaboration with diverse teams.
• Familiarity with risk management and change management methodologies.
• Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

• Proficiency with EVMS-aligned project tracking tools and reporting.

Compensation Details:

$80,000 - $130,000
