Job summary

Messer Americas seeks a Staff Accountant - Project Execution to drive project control, reporting and transactional processes across the portfolio. This role interfaces with Procurement, Accounts Payable, Treasury, and Finance to enable effective project execution.

Based in Bethlehem, PA, Bridgewater, NJ, or Houston, TX, the position emphasizes cost reporting, portfolio forecasts, and SAP/COUPA-led processes, with opportunities to influence capital budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business required.
• 5–10 years experience in Project Reporting, Project Controls, or related capital projects.
• Experience in a capital project organization is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monthly project reports including cost, schedule, and future spending.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Accounts Payable, Treasury, and Finance to optimize project delivery.
• Prepare capital project budgets and capitalization of projects.
• Review EPC progress reports and scheduling.
• Support SAP, COUPA, and payables processes.
• Maintain documentation for costs and schedules; manage portfolio forecasts.
• Support databases for proposals and projects; assist with invoicing resolution.
