Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company, through WECTEC Staffing Services, seeks a Project Controls Accountant for a 1-year contract on behalf of a client. The role focuses on developing and implementing processes for tracking inventory and storage costs, posting journal entries, and supporting month-end close and reporting.

The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS in accounting or related field, CPA preferred, and strong SAP experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential is preferred.
• Strong accounting background with experience supporting project-related financial activities.
• SAP experience is required.
• SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ) experience is preferred.
• Power BI experience is helpful

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain processes for tracking inventory and storage costs.
• Prepare and post accurate journal entries.
• Complete monthly accruals and account reconciliations.
• Track and monitor invoices to support timely processing and payment.
• Support month-end close activities and financial reporting.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and document accounting procedures.
