Cupertino Electric, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Controller to lead project-level cost management in Indianapolis, IN.

You will oversee budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and on-site financial coordination to keep projects financially healthy and aligned with contractual requirements. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in electrical construction, strong proficiency in JDEdwards, PowerBI, and Textura, and a proven track record of delivering accurate financial information

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a work-related field.
7+ years of progressively responsible related work experience including managing and leading programs, work units, or departments of comparable size, scope, and complexity.
Experience in project controls within construction or similar industries.

Responsibilities

Billing coordination with billing department to ensure invoice accuracy.
Develop and maintain project budgets and cost coding in JDEdwards (JDE).
Manage change orders and templates; audit change order logs and approvals.
Review subcontractor invoices and lien waivers; audit Textura invoices.
Produce weekly financial reports and provide guidance to project team.
Develop cash flow management processes and communicate findings to stakeholders.
Ensure correct sales tax treatment on materials; coordinate with vendors.
Monitor material costs in vendor procurement logs and ensure proper cost coding.
Oversee equipment rental costs and billing impacts; communicate financial implications.
Lead monthly project financial reviews with upper management.
