Job summary

MTSI is seeking a Senior Project Control Specialist to join the PPMCOE hybrid PMO. You will develop standards of practice, support project control knowledge management, and collaborate with FAC, HR, and PM teams to mature processes and training materials.

You will also contribute to program management conference planning, job family maturation, and cross-enterprise process improvements while delivering actionable management dashboards and training content.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, business analysis, finance, accounting, project management, or related field; advanced degree preferred but not required.
• 7+ years of direct experience in project controls, financial analysis, or program support within government contracting environments.
• Demonstrated experience supporting large federal prime contracts (e.g., GSA), including management of multiple contract types such as CPFF, T&M, and FFP.
• Experience defining, implementing, and refining project control related methodologies.
• Certifications such as PMP, CAPM, PMI-PBA, or EVMS certifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Project Control State of Practice Documentation and Management (50%): consolidate, coordinate, and publish project control standards of practice in policy, process documentation, job aids and our digital handbook.
• Professional Development Content and Delivery (20%): develop and maintain tailored PCS training content for PCS job family and professional development.
• Knowledge Management (10%): maintain PPMCOE repositories and curate best practices from the 100-project portfolio.
• Process Support and Continuous Improvement (15%): mature internal PPMCOE processes and collect field feedback for improvements.
• Administrative and Reporting Duties (5%): participate in PPMCOE events and assist with reviews and presentations.
