Job summary

GFF Design in Austin is seeking a Senior Project Architect to lead complex commercial, multifamily, and mixed-use projects from concept to closeout. You will coordinate with integrated teams, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure solutions meet client goals and code requirements.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years of experience, Texas licensure, and strong skills in Forma, Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp, driving high-quality delivery across urban infill contexts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Active architectural license in Texas, or ability to obtain reciprocity within six months.
• Minimum of 15 years of professional experience, including 8+ years leading commercial/multifamily/mixed-use projects.
• Strong knowledge of codes, accessibility, zoning, and construction detailing.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Forma, Revit, AutoCAD, and visualization tools such as SketchUp.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural projects from design through closeout, aligning with client goals, standards and site context.
• Manage budgets, schedules, resources, and overall project delivery.
• Develop and edit project specifications to meet requirements.
• Mentor junior staff and drive staff training and best practices.
• Collaborate with PIC on proposals, contracts, and client relations.
