Job summary

Chord Design Studio is seeking a licensed architect with 10+ years of project leadership to direct design, documentation, and coordination across hospitality, aviation, and commercial projects. You’ll mentor team members, own client communications, and shepherd projects from early design through construction administration while protecting scope, schedule, and budget.

You’ll lead with judgment, collaborate with consultants, and travel up to 30% as needed.

Qualifications

• Licensed architect with 10+ years of project leadership.
• 5+ years in project management for hospitality, aviation, or restaurants.
• Construction administration experience across full lifecycle.
• Advanced detailing and coordination across trades.

Responsibilities

• Lead small to mid-size projects from design through construction administration.
• Own day-to-day client, consultant, and internal team communications.
• Review drawings and specs for accuracy and constructability.
• Coordinate across structural, MEP, civil and other trades.
• Manage schedules, budgets, and client decision points.
• Mentor junior team members and uphold deadlines and quality.
• Travel to project sites as needed up to 30%.
