Job summary

Chord Design Studio, a remote architecture and interiors firm, seeks a licensed architect with 10+ years of project leadership and 5+ years in project management. You will coordinate design through construction, manage client and consultant communications, and lead trade coordination across structural, MEP, civil, and other teams.

You will mentor staff, track schedules and budgets, review drawings for constructability, and travel up to 30% as needed.

Qualifications

• Licensed architect with bachelor’s or master’s in architecture and NCARB certification is preferred.
• 10+ years of professional architectural experience with 5+ years in project management, hospitality/aviation/restaurant exposure a plus.
• 3+ years construction administration with full lifecycle responsibility on projects.
• Strong detailing skills and coordination across structural, MEP, civil, and other trades.
• Advanced Revit and code coordination knowledge.
• Clear, confident client and team communications; a strong portfolio demonstrates leadership.
• Based in the Dallas metro area, within 50 miles of DFW or Love Field.

Responsibilities

• Lead small and midsize projects from design through construction administration.
• Own day‑to‑day client and consultant communications, updates, and decisions.
• Review drawings and specs for accuracy, constructability, and completeness.
• Direct full trade coordination across structural, MEP, civil, and other consultants.
• Track schedules, budgets, and client decision points; mentor staff; manage issues with CEO input.
• Travel to project sites up to 30% as needed.
