Job summary

Actalent in Boston, MA is seeking a Project Architect to lead a small team on multifamily and residential-influenced projects. You will coordinate technical documentation, schedules, and design intents with designers, consultants and owners.

The role requires strong Revit and AutoCAD skills, knowledge of building codes, and experience with design and construction administration. Hybrid work allows one day at home weekly, with a focus on quality, collaboration, and delivering projects on time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Architecture degree required; Master of Architecture preferred.
• 7-10+ years of professional experience.
• Registered Architect preferred.
• Certified Passive House Consultant (CPHC) is a plus.
• Experience with design and Construction Administration services.
• Experience with local and state building codes and life safety features.
• Experience with exterior envelope systems from design through construction.
• Proficiency in Revu Bluebeam PDF drawing coordination software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the technical coordination and scheduling of projects.
• Oversee the technical documentation aspects of the project.
• Engage in ongoing coordination with engineering disciplines and design-assist subcontractors.
• Respond to RFIs.
• Review and coordinate submittals and shop drawings.
• Coordinate and detail technical solutions to support design intent.
• Interface with regulatory authorities and inspectors concerning code compliance.
• Interface with owner-provided inspectors and project managers concerning quality control.
