Job summary

SCB is seeking talented Project Architects to join our Boston office. The role involves leading design and technical development across multiple project types, under the supervision of a Project Manager or Principal.

Candidates should have a accredited architecture degree, 10+ years post-graduate experience, and be a licensed U.S. architect with strong leadership and client-facing presentation skills. Proficiency in Revit and related tools is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Accredited architecture degree required.
• At least 10+ years in an architectural firm post-graduate.
• Licensed Architect in the U.S.
• Strong design sensibility and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to lead a project including consultants and staff.
• Working knowledge of local zoning and building codes.
• Technical knowledge of building systems and material assemblies.
• Experience with construction phase activities and RFIs.
• Proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, Newforma; familiarity with Enscape, SketchUp, Rhino, Affinity, Adobe CS.
• Experience on Multi-family, Hospitality, Campus, Commercial Office, Lab or Aviation projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement project design philosophy toward successful execution through design and construction phases.
• Develop design drawings, technical drawings, visualizations, and studies with project leaders.
• Organize project team work and serve as primary liaison with in-house team and consultants.
• Manage time and tasks to meet deadlines, overseeing junior staff.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders, including design consultants and contractors.
• Lead team meetings and client presentations with multidisciplinary teams.
• Mentor and train junior staff constructively.
• Identify and promote opportunities for innovative system applications and process improvements.
• Engage with project and studio teams with a team-first attitude.
