Job summary

EMBARC is seeking an experienced Project Architect to lead projects through Design Development, Construction Documents, permitting, and construction in Boston. You will take ownership of the architectural Revit model, coordinate with structural and MEP teams, and guide junior staff while maintaining design intent.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of U.S. experience, strong detailing skills, and a track record in mid- to large-scale multifamily construction.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Architecture program with a B.Arch. and/or M.Arch.
• 10+ years of professional architectural experience in the U.S.
• PHIUS, LEED, or other sustainability accreditation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and production of architectural documentation from Design Development through Construction Documents and permitting.
• Own the architectural Revit model and drawing set, including organization and coordination.
• Collaborate with Lead Designers to carry design intent through detailing and coordination.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP/FP, civil, landscape, interiors, envelope, code, acoustical consultants; resolve conflicts.
• Develop exterior wall assemblies, building envelope details, and related construction details.
• Apply building codes, accessibility, zoning, and industry standards throughout docs.
• Guide junior staff in Revit production, detailing, and drawing development.
• Coordinate with Project Manager on deliverables, schedules, staffing, and consultant workflows.
