Job summary

Progressive Companies in the United States seeks an Architectural Staff III to lead the technical voice on complex projects from concept through documentation. You will set the design approach, ensure Performance Based Design intent, and mentor junior staff toward leadership roles.

Qualifications

• Be the lead technical voice on projects and determine the overall documentation strategy.
• Mentor architectural staff and review work before submission for accuracy and code compliance.
• Coordinate with project team members and external consultants on technical solutions and product strategy.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical direction on assigned projects of moderate to large complexity. Determine the overall strategy for producing the documents, identify the drawings and related documents each phase of the work requires, and ensure design intent survives into detailed documentation.
• Produce and modify construction documents using Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and BSD SpecLink, and respond to RFIs during bidding and construction.
• Develop project specifications to align with drawings, ensuring standards and sustainability guidelines are integrated.
• Resolve code and technical issues with authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ) and provide required documentation.
• Own QA/QC for the Architecture discipline, review colleagues’ work for accuracy and compliance, and provide feedback on constructability and systems integration.
• Address field issues and disputes during construction, keeping the team updated on design changes.
