Job summary

Progressive Companies seeks a Project Architect II to own the technical design of major, complex projects and ensure the design intent travels from concept through documentation to field execution.

The role is largely independent with coordination to consultants and engineers, mentoring junior architects, and advancing toward Senior Project Architect. Progressive is employee owned with a strong emphasis on Performance Based Design and excellence.

Qualifications

• Own the technical design across major projects.
• Ensure design intent survives from concept to documents and field.
• Lead technical reviews for code compliance and QA/QC.

Responsibilities

• Hold design intent through all documentation phases.
• Lead technical design and documentation on major projects.
• Stamp and seal construction documents as licensed architect.
• Coordinate specs with drawings and manage handoffs.
• Resolve code questions with authorities having jurisdiction.
• Lead reviews of submittals, drawings, estimates, and calculations.
• Troubleshoot field construction problems on site.
• Maintain project information, fees, and schedules.
• Mentor junior architects and contribute to process improvements.
