Farnsworth Group, Austin office is growing, and we are looking for a highly motivated Project Architect to help us grow in municipal, commercial, and higher education markets. You will market and manage multi-disciplinary teams for a wide range of project types, and work with our national architectural team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited program (required); Masters preferred.
• Registered Architect (NCARB preferred)
• 10+ years of work experience in architectural design and planning in core markets; strong project management and client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Understand design process and project complexities to contribute to team success.
• Coordinate project documentation and production of deliverables.
• Manage QA and adherence to standards (FGI).
• Lead coordination among internal disciplines and external consultants.
• Communicate with clients on project technical matters.
• Administer regulatory reviews and approvals with authorities.
• Lead construction contract administration: submittals, RFIs, field observations, and closeout.
• Stay aware of evolving building technology relevant to project work.
• Contribute to project marketing, proposals, and interviews.
• Mentor junior staff through project work and day-to-day guidance.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree Architecture, from an accredited program

Masters preferred

Registered Architect (NCARB preferred)
