Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Project Architect in Seattle, WA. You will lead the AE team, drive design development, and deliver projects from planning through construction with a focus on sustainability and integrated design.

You will mentor staff, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, and ensure timely, best-value outcomes for federal and DoD-related projects while maintaining design quality and standards. Hybrid work arrangement with strong client collaboration.

Qualifications

• Licensed architect in the State of Washington.
• Minimum 15 years of experience as a project architect.
• Familiar with UFC, WA building codes, and International Building Code (IBC).
• Capable of leading design teams on multi-disciplinary projects.
• Proficient in Revit, Bluebeam Studio, and BIM 360.

Responsibilities

• Execute and deliver well-coordinated project documents as a project architect on time.
• Manage a team in producing architectural design solutions and construction drawings.
• Lead project meetings and coordinate all building disciplines for multi-disciplinary projects.
• Mentor architectural staff and provide technical guidance.
• Be the architectural technical lead and perform internal reviews for quality and codes compliance.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, and staffing to meet targets.
• Provide client-facing technical knowledge on codes, systems, and materials.
• Develop designs through sketches, models, diagrams, and BIM outputs.
