Job summary

Cedar is hiring a Senior Project Architect in Austin to lead 1–3 residential projects from concept to construction administration. You will coordinate Cedar designers, engineers, and external consultants, ensuring smooth project progression and exceptional outcomes.

You will mentor junior staff, share Cedar best practices, and help shape Cedar processes. This role reports to the Studio Director and anchors client relationships, schedules, and milestones.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in architectural office.
• 6+ years as project architect or job captain.
• 4+ years in residential architecture; multi-family favored.
• Education: 5-year BArch or MArch (preferred).
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, Enscape, Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day execution of 1–3 residential projects.
• Gather project data from key stakeholders and maintain data.
• Produce and oversee project models, presentations, and docs through milestones; catalog software evolution.
• Lead projects with 1–2 junior staff under supervision.
• Curate specifications, product selections, and detail execution.
• Plan and maintain project schedules and staffing.
• Serve as primary client contact for schedules, milestones, and delivery.
