Job summary

Jacobs in California’s Cities & Places market seeks a Senior Project Architect & Design Manager to lead complex architectural projects in Los Angeles, Irvine, or San Francisco. You will ensure building code compliance, act as Architect of Record where needed, and drive multidisciplinary design teams to deliver high‑quality projects.

The role is hybrid and requires 2–3 days in the office with travel to CA sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture required.
• Licensed Architect in California required.
• Minimum 20 years of architectural experience with multi-disciplinary projects.
• Strong understanding of AutoCAD, Revit and BIM workflows.
• Experience as Architect of Record (AOR) and code/compliance focus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Senior Project Architect and Design Manager on medium-to-large projects across the West.
• Coordinate design development from concept through construction documents and administration.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and ensure code compliance and QA/QC.
• Facilitate client presentations and design reviews with stakeholders.
• Mentor junior staff and manage design schedules and quality standards.
