Job summary

Jacobs in California is seeking a Senior Design Manager to lead Design‑Build and related delivery models for major vertical building projects. You will mentor teams of architects, engineers, and planners and guide pursuits from proposal through final design, balancing owner expectations with cost and schedule.

You will also collaborate with contractors, clients, and partners across California, travel as needed, and operate in a hybrid work environment to drive excellence in delivery and design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• 15+ years of experience leading complex building projects and multidisciplinary design teams.
• Experience leading Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build, CMAR, or other delivery methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build, CMAR, and other delivery pursuits for complex vertical building developments in California.
• Develop and maintain relationships with California contractors, developers, and design-build partners.
• Serve as Jacobs' design leadership representative during contractor engagement, pursuit development, and client interactions.
