Job summary

SCB is seeking talented Project Architects to join our Boston office. We are a national, multi-disciplinary design firm focusing on multi-family residential, adaptive reuse, academic, and aviation projects.

At SCB, everyone engages in design, and our team is agile, creative, and efficient. You will work under the supervision of a Project Manager and/or Principal, collaborating with consultants to prepare design studies, technical drawings, and BIM coordination, while mentoring junior staff and

Qualifications

• Accredited professional degree in architecture.
• 10+ years post-graduate, full-time experience in an architectural firm.
• Licensed Architect in the U.S.
• Strong design sensibility and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to lead a project including consultants and internal staff.
• Knowledge of local zoning ordinances and building codes.
• Proficient in Revit, Bluebeam, Newforma; familiar with Enscape, SketchUp, Rhino.

Responsibilities

• Implement project design philosophy and push for successful execution through design and construction phases.
• Develop design and technical drawings, visualizations, and studies with project leaders.
• Organize work efforts of the project team and coordinate with consultants.
• Manage time and tasks to meet deadlines; oversee junior team members.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders, clients, and authorities having jurisdiction.
• Lead team meetings and client presentations with multidisciplinary teams.
• Mentor junior staff and promote innovative systems and processes.
