Senior Director of Delivery – Architecture & Interiors

A highly respected architecture and design firm in the Stamford area is seeking a Senior Director of Delivery to lead and oversee technical delivery across all architectural projects. Reporting to the Head of Delivery, this strategic leader will ensure project quality, code compliance, and technical excellence—while mentoring staff and shaping firm-wide production standards.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of architects and technical staff, ensuring consistent delivery standards across all projects.
• Establish and manage firm-wide QA/QC procedures and production templates.
• Serve as the in-house expert on building and zoning codes; liaise with code officials.
• Provide technical leadership and support across all project phases, from schematic design through construction administration.
• Collaborate with firm leadership and project managers to meet deadlines and elevate document quality.
• Mentor junior and mid-level staff, participate in performance reviews, and support professional growth.
• Stay current with design and construction technologies, codes, and sustainability practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture (Master’s preferred); licensed Architect required.
• 10–15+ years of architectural experience, with deep technical knowledge and construction admin experience.
• Previous leadership experience in managing personnel, project standards, and production teams.
• Expert understanding of building codes, construction documentation, and consultant coordination.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office.
