ABOUT THE ROLE
The successful candidate will serve as a leader with expert knowledge, responsible for leading the development, assembly, and quality oversight of a project's technical documentation for large or multiple smaller projects. This includes ensuring integrated deliverables and verifying compliance through team collaboration.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage and monitor the integrated quality review processes across all disciplines.
- Coordinate with project and firm-wide leaders on project status and risks.
- Develop and implement strategies for continuous quality engagement.
- Schedule and coordinate staffing for quality reviews; manage the project's Quality Process support.
- Participate in risk assessment, proactively addressing project issues.
- Assist in developing the Project Quality Plan and updates, managing phase milestone reviews and technical charettes.
- Review planning of each phase's drawing document deliverables.
- Ensure adherence to technical standards and policies, collaborating with senior leaders to resolve challenges.
- Guide the development of integrated technical solutions across project phases.
- Support decision-making and innovative design solutions, engaging technical leadership as needed.
- Monitor work progress and compliance with standards regularly.
- Assist in code analysis and compliance, monitor discipline coordination, and track project metrics.
- Manage phase quality reviews and participate as an internal peer reviewer.
- Contribute to business development and share institutional knowledge.
- Write technical articles on quality subjects for publication.
- Mentor staff to promote continuous improvement and meet utilization targets.
- Perform other duties as needed.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- At least 12 years of professional experience, including 5 years in responsible roles on large projects and 3 years in construction administration.
- Experience leading technical teams on projects over $200M.
- Expertise in healthcare project design, documentation, and compliance with healthcare codes and standards.
- Current architectural registration in the U.S., with ability to obtain Illinois registration.
- LEED accreditation preferred.
- Proven leadership on large or multiple complex projects.
- Strong subject matter expertise, business acumen, and focus on quality.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, familiar with Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and construction management software.
