Job summary

Connect Search, LLC partners with an established construction and manufacturing organization to identify a Project Accountant / Senior Accountant to join a hands-on accounting team. The role emphasizes project accounting, PoC revenue recognition, WIP, project costing, and long-term contracts, with general accounting duties as well.

You will help manage transition to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, work closely with operations and project management, and contribute to systems

Qualifications

• 5+ years progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with PoC, WIP, project costing, or long-term contracts.
• Strong understanding of revenue recognition and GL activities.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting activity for long-term projects and contracts.
• Prepare and maintain WIP schedules and close processes.
• Perform Percentage of Completion revenue recognition.
• Monitor project costs, profitability, margins and financial performance.
• Track backlog and remaining contract balances; review against forecasts.
• Support project managers with financial reporting and project information.
