Pattern Energy is seeking an experienced accountant to manage full accounting and general ledger for wind/solar projects and intercompany entities in a collaborative Houston environment. You will work with teams in Houston and San Francisco, handling journal entries, reconciliations, budgeting, and reporting to senior leadership.

Responsibilities include contract review for compliance, period-end deadlines, and cross-functional coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent major.
• Minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Familiarity with Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
• Renewable energy industry experience preferred.
• Power plant accounting experience desirable.
• Experience at a US public company is a plus.
• Consolidation and equity-method accounting with minority interests.
• International accounting experience is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Full accounting and general ledger responsibility including preparation of periodic standalone financial statements for one or more projects or intercompany service entities.
• Full accounting and general ledger responsibility for inventory and the cross-functional dependencies.
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations and invoices prepared by Senior Operators & Operations Accountants.
• Support annual budget preparation and monthly forecast updates.
• Hands-on use of Pattern’s GL, reporting software (Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle, and Power BI).
• Support Accounting Manager in preparing deliverables, reports & presentations to senior leadership.
• Read, interpret, and summarize project contracts to assure proper compliance and accounting.
• Ensure monthly, quarterly, year-end, and special project deadlines are met.
• Adhere to internal controls and maintain accounting files for projects.
