Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• 5+ years of progressive project accounting experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, construction, or project-based industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of project accounting, job costing, WIP, revenue recognition, and project cost structures.
• Experience with ERP-based project accounting systems.
• Strong Excel skills, including financial analysis, reconciliations, and large data sets.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Project Managers to ensure accurate project setup, budgets, cost structures, and phase codes within IFS.
• Review Cost Status Reports, monitor labor, material, and subcontractor charges, and resolve job cost discrepancies.
• Ensure accurate project cost allocations, WIP balances, and reconciliation of project costs to the general ledger.
• Coordinate with the Cost Accountant to reconcile manufacturing and work order costs to projects.
• Support project closeout, including final cost reconciliations and resolution of outstanding transactions.
• Prepare project financial reporting and WIP schedules, providing revenue recognition support to Corporate Accounting for month-end close.
• Coordinate project billing, accounts receivable follow-up, and resolution of outstanding customer balances with Project Management and Corporate Accounting.
