Job summary

Ledcor Construction, Inc. in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Senior Project Accountant who reports to the Project Controller and ensures accurate, timely reporting of project financials.

You will own accounts receivable, subcontract administration, payroll, equipment time entry, accounts payable, month-end activities, forecasting, and analysis. You will collaborate with project teams to ensure data is accurate, complete, and actionable, while identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to drive

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar project accounting role.
• Post-secondary business degree required.
• Experience within commercial construction or related industry preferred.
• Knowledge of JD Edwards or similar large ERP preferred.
• Working knowledge of construction accounting principles and software.

Responsibilities

• Analyze project costs and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Implement and maintain cost control systems to ensure projects stay within budget.
• Comprehend and communicate key commercial terms of project contracts to all relevant parties.
• Effectively report project financials and interpretations to leadership for decision-making.
• Contribute to development and implementation of agreements affecting project costs.
• Collect and submit documentation for invoicing (statutory declarations, WCB letters).
• Prepare and submit Letters of Engagement/Monthly Invoices to clients per terms.
• Gather third-party invoices to support accurate and timely client billing.
• Prepare and submit monthly equipment rental billings, progress invoices, and manage holdback releases.
• Process and reconcile electronic billing submissions with client systems.
