Job summary

LCG invites a seasoned Lead Project Accountant to own financial management for federal IT government contracts. This hybrid role requires one onsite day weekly at Rockville, MD, reporting to the Director of Finance.

You will own budgets, forecasts, invoicing, and revenue across FFP and T&M contracts, collaborating with project managers and leadership. Ideal candidate brings extensive government contracting experience, independent judgment, and strong collaboration across Contracts and Operations

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in a related field; accounting/finance preferred.
• 7+ years in project control/financial mgmt within government contracting.
• Experience leading client billing and revenue management for government contracts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project cost estimates, forecasts, and budgets for complex contracts.
• Monitor costs, report variances, and recommend corrective actions to project managers and leadership.
• Lead financial reviews of contract modifications and changes to budgets and costs.
• Manage Deltek Costpoint project setup, modifications, and workforce assignments; ensure data integrity.
• Prepare and validate client invoices across FFP and T&M contracts and process via IPP and portals.
• Reconcile billed/unbilled amounts for GAAP and FAR compliance; manage receivables and overdue issues.
• Support audits and incurred cost submissions with project finance data.
