Job summary

ITCON Services, LLC seeks an experienced Accountant to join their Finance team in Tysons Corner, VA. This hands-on role covers month-end close, general ledger, accounts payable, compliance, and financial reporting.

The ideal candidate brings federal government contracting experience, strong FAR/GAAP knowledge, and proficiency with Unanet or Deltek. You will work onsite four days per week with one remote day, ensuring accurate, audit-ready financial records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in government contracting.
• Demonstrated experience with month-end close, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and accounts payable.
• Strong knowledge of Service Contract Act (SCA) compliance and wage determinations.
• Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting systems such as Unanet and/or Deltek.
• Working knowledge of FAR, CAS, GAAP, and federal contracting accounting requirements.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with payroll systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Month-end close & general ledger processes including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Oversee accounts payable activities and vendor payments while ensuring FAR compliance.
• Prepare and submit government reports related to payroll and labor compliance.
• Support audits with accurate documentation and maintain audit-ready records.
• Collaborate with Contracts, Program Management, and HR to ensure correct labor charging.
