Job summary

CBX Solutions, a nationwide provider of architectural doors, frames, hardware, and security integration, seeks a Sr. Project Accountant to own the financial administration of assigned construction projects from award through closeout.

Responsibilities include contract billing, pay applications, job cost reconciliation, and change orders, with a focus on protecting project margin. The role partners with Project Managers, Sales, and Accounting leadership to ensure accurate revenue recognition and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent)
• 4-5 years of progressive project/construction accounting experience including pay applications
• Experience with construction/contract accounting or ERP software (e.g., Comsense) preferred

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end contract billing and pay application processes for assigned projects
• Reconcile job costs and revenue; resolve variances and WIP discrepancies
• Research and process change orders; resolve billing disputes
• Gatekeeper for project closeouts; ensure all requirements are met
• Own inventory reconciliation tied to projects; track discrepancies
• Analyze project financials to identify risk, cost overruns, or billing exposure
• Review work of Project Accountants and provide guidance
• Partner with PMs, Sales, and Accounting leadership on billing and revenue recognition
• Other related duties as assigned
