Job summary

CBX Solutions in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Sr. Project Accountant to own the financial administration of assigned construction projects from contract award through closeout, including contract billing and job cost reconciliation.

You will partner with Project Managers, Sales, and Accounting leadership to protect project margins, review work of junior staff, and ensure timely revenue recognition while handling change orders and inventory reconciliation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• 4–5 years of progressive experience in project/construction accounting.
• Experience with construction/contract accounting or ERP software (e.g., Comsense) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end contract billing and pay applications for assigned projects.
• Reconcile job costs and revenue; identify variances and WIP discrepancies.
• Process change orders and resolve complex billing disputes.
• Gatekeeper for project closeouts and ensure contractual requirements are met.
• Own inventory reconciliation tied to assigned projects.
