Job summary

CBX Solutions LLC is seeking a Project Accountant to support billing and accounting for construction projects. You will work alongside the Accounting Manager to ensure accurate financial records and timely processing of pay applications.

The role requires strong math and Excel skills, with emphasis on communication and collaboration in a professional office setting. Prior construction/accounting experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates’ degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in construction and accounting related positions preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Assist with billing for Locklear/Rogers projects.
• Reconcile jobs to ensure accurate financial records.
• Change order research and obtaining change orders for salesmen.
• Ensure proper project close-out processes.
• Prepare Comsense reports, clean up WIP and sales orders.
• Research back charges, missing materials, and change orders.

The Project Accountant is responsible for completing pay applications and assisting with billing. This person will work in direct support of the Accounting Manager.

Essential Functions

• Assist with billing, specifically in regard to Locklear/Rogers projects
• Reconcile jobs
• Change order research and help get change orders for all salesmen
• Proper project close out
• Comsense reports, cleaning up WIP and sales orders
• Research back charges, missing material, change orders, etc.
• Other relative duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Associates’ degree, or an equivalent combination of education/experience
• Experience in both construction and accounting related positions preferred
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Strong mathematical and analytical skills required
• Strong working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products specifically Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are also critical
