Job summary

Ledgent Finance & Accounting in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Project Accountant with a construction accounting focus to manage accounting across multiple active projects and support budgeting, billing, and cost tracking. The role partners with senior leadership on key financial initiatives and process improvements.

The ideal candidate has construction accounting experience, strong knowledge of project and cost accounting, and familiarity with QuickBooks and Sage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Previous construction accounting experience required.
• Experience with WIP reporting, financial reporting, and month-end close activities is highly desirable.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Managing accounting responsibilities across multiple active construction projects
• Supporting budgeting, billing, cost tracking, contract administration, and payment processing
• Partnering with senior leadership and cross-functional teams on key financial initiatives
• Assisting with process improvements and systems optimization efforts
• Contributing to month-end activities, reporting, and operational accounting function?
• Bachelor's degree required?
• Previous construction accounting experience required?
• Strong knowledge of project accounting, billing, cost accounting, payroll, and contract compliance?
• Experience with accounting software platforms such as QuickBooks and Sage?
• CPA designation or active pursuit of CPA preferred
