Job summary

Song United seeks a Team Manager in Detroit to bridge architecture and design with real estate and leasing, ensuring teams stay aligned and projects move forward.

Reporting to the Head of Place and supporting the Managing Director of Real Estate, you will turn priorities into clear plans, coordinate decisions, and track commitments across the Works Team. This hands-on role blends program coordination, business operations, and executive support.

Qualifications

• At least seven years of experience in real estate, city building, or related fields, including supporting leaders or coordinating complex projects.
• Experience connecting teams with different priorities and translating discussions into clear responsibilities and completed work.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, including preparing correspondence, presentations, and concise research summaries.
• Sound judgment, discretion, and attention to detail, with the ability to manage sensitive information and build relationships across all levels.
• Comfort with hands-on administrative work, shifting priorities, and working independently.
• Proficiency with Mac platforms and Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Bridge architecture, design with real estate and leasing to keep teams aligned.
• Turn shared priorities into clear plans and actions; coordinate agendas, materials, and deadlines.
• Prepare agendas and materials, document decisions, and track commitments with clear owners and deadlines.
• Coordinate calendars, prioritize meeting requests and communications, and prepare correspondence, presentations, and briefing materials.
• Create practical systems for project information, correspondence, and records; manage PO requests, invoices, and expense approvals.
