Job summary

The Child Center of NY is seeking a Sr. Program Director for MS 672 Mott Hall Bridges Academy (SONYC) in Brooklyn, NY. The SPD will supervise multiple program directors across five sites and oversee finances, staff development, and strategic planning.

Responsibilities include auditing readiness, policy implementation, and meeting performance metrics, while fostering community partnerships and ensuring HIPAA compliance. Requires leadership, bilingual capacity, and advanced degrees.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Public Administration or related field.
  • Master’s degree in education or social work with SIFI certification preferred.
  • 5 years’ experience in a similar role, minimum of 2 years supervising staff.
  • Demonstrated competence in youth development, supervision, training facilitation, and community program administration and planning.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to plan and carry out assignments independently.
  • Ability to prioritize, adhere to timelines and multi-task.
  • Bilingual in one or more of: Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Bengali or other as needed by community preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide consistent supervision, coaching and feedback to site leadership and teams.
  • Oversee and strategically manage all program operations to meet enrollment, participation, and goals.
  • Ensure cost-effective delivery of high-quality services and smooth program operations.
  • Prepare for audits and respond to regulatory needs; implement policy updates.
  • Meet defined performance metrics for the position.
  • Communicate program aspects across the agency and lead community engagement.
  • Design and facilitate professional development experiences including core trainings.
  • Ensure skills transfer to program operations and systems via coaching and supervision.
  • Manage several Program Directors responsible for overall program direction and evaluation.
  • Adhere to agency policies and applicable laws including confidentiality and HIPAA.
