Job summary

The Child Center of NY in Flushing, Queens, NY seeks a Senior Program Director to oversee multiple programs, supervising program directors and managing finances, staff development, advocacy, and strategic planning. You will coordinate with funders, licensing agencies, and community leaders to ensure successful program operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Education, Social Work, Public Administration or related field.
• Certification may be required.
• 5 years’ experience in a similar role, minimum of 2 years’ supervising staff.
• Demonstrated competence in youth development, supervision, training facilitation, and planning.
• Bilingual in Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Bengali or others may be required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to plan and carry out assignments independently.
• Ability to prioritize, adhere to timelines and multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent supervision, coaching and feedback to site leadership and teams.
• Oversee and strategize all operations of the program(s) to ensure enrollment and goals are achieved.
• Ensure cost-effective delivery of high-quality services to families served by the program.
• Prepare for audits and respond to regulatory requirements with policy changes.
• Meet performance expectations and metrics for the program.
• Communicate program aspects across the agency and oversee outreach efforts.
• Design and facilitate professional development experiences for divisional trainings.
• Supervise and develop program staff and ensure accountability.
